Recipe Ingredients for lentil soup, indian style

1 cups lentils, dry
16 oz low sodium chicken broth
28 oz water
14 1/2 oz canned tomatoes, no salt
1 carrot, large
2 stalks celery, large
1 small onion
3 cloves garlic
1 tbsp curry (and other indian seasonings)
1 black pepper
2 oz chipotle peppers
1/2 cups chickpeas

Recipe Directions for lentil soup, indian style

  1. saute onions and garlic in 1 tbsp broth

  2. add chipotle peppers and spices

  3. add tomatoes

  4. add broth and lentils and veggies, and bring to a boil

  5. turn on low and simmer for four hours

  6. eat
