Easy, quick variation on Claire's as I had no celery and wanted to add some green beans.

Recipe Ingredients for Lentil Soup with Canned Beans, Carrots and spices

1 1/2 cup lentils, dry
1/2 cup carrot, diced
1 cup beans, canned
1/2 cup onion, diced
2 tablespoons parsley, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
8 cups water

Recipe Directions for Lentil Soup with Canned Beans, Carrots and spices

  1. Put all together in stock pot

  2. Heat until boiling

  3. Reduce, simmer 1 hour.
