Recipe Ingredients for Lentil and Sausage Soup

4 link Skinless Polish Sausage
1 large Onions
2 medium Squash, Summer, Zucchini, Includes Skin
4 small (5-1/2" long) Carrots
6 medium (4-1/8" long) Onions, Spring Or Scallions
2 serving Great Value Minced Garlic
3 tsp Onion Powder
3 tsp Garlic Powder
2 tsp Pepper, Black
3 tsp Italian Seasoning
4 cup (8 fl oz) Water
1 cup Lentils, Mature Seeds
28 oz Diced Tomatoes

Recipe Directions for Lentil and Sausage Soup

In a large pot saute the sliced sausage with onions and minced garlic until tender and translucent. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Stir in lentils, carrot, zucchini, green onions, water and tomatoes. Add the seasonings and bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Cover, and simmer for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until lentils are tender.
