Basic lentil and ham soup. Great to make with ham leftovers.

Recipe Ingredients for Lentil and Ham Soup

128 grams Lentils
1 serving Extra Virgin Olive Oil
120 grams Gourmet Lite Virginia Baked Ham 98% Fat Free Lower Sodium
1 small Onions
1 stalk, large (11"-12" long) Celery
3 clove Garlic
1 cube Bouillon Cubes
5 cup (8 fl oz) Water
1/2 tsp Salt, Table
1/2 tsp Pepper, Black

Recipe Directions for Lentil and Ham Soup

  1. Sort and rinse lentils.

  2. In a medium saucepan, heat oil.

  3. Stir in ham, onion and garlic until tender.

  4. Add lentils and remaining ingredients.

  5. Bring to a boil.

  6. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until lentils are tender and soup gets thick.

  7. Add more hot water if necessary.

  8. Serves 4.

  9. Salt and pepper are to taste.
