Recipe Ingredients for Lentil, Ham and Green veggie soup v2

348 g lean ham
238 g raw lentils
6 cloves garlic
1 t pepper
1 tbsp curry powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
580 g onion
370 g broccoli
190 g leeks
435 g beets
260 g carrots
360 g spinach
195 g squash
2 t salt
1 t pepper

Recipe Directions for Lentil, Ham and Green veggie soup v2

  1. Previous day- boil a ham shank for 1-2 hours, cool, put in fridge and remove the fat from the top in the morning.

  2. Saute onions, leeks, garlic.

  3. Add water from ham shank, remaining veggies (chopped) and cook about 1/2 hour.

  4. Cook lentils, drain, and add themand ham and spices at end of cooking.
