Chilli made with Lentils and ground deer. Also good without meat or with ground turkey. I use canned tomatoes from the garden, but you could also use store bought tomato paste.

Recipe Ingredients for Lentil Deer Chilli

1 lbs ground deer meat
16 oz lentils
12 tomatoes
1 onion
1 green bell pepper
3 cloves garlic
3 tbsp chilli powder
1 tbsp cumin
1 pinch salt
1 tbsp coarse black pepper

Recipe Directions for Lentil Deer Chilli

  1. Cook the lentils in boiling water for about 20 minutes.

  2. Meanwhile, brown the ground meat with chopped onions and green bell pepper.

  3. Combine all ingredients in crock pot.

  4. Cook on low for 8 hours.
