Recipe Ingredients for Lentil Chili - 2

6 onions
10 cloves garlic
1 tbsp olive oil
48 oz stewed tomatoes, chopped (or use diced tomatoes)
1 can tomato paste
1/4 cup cumin
1/8 cup chili powder
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp pepper
1 tbsp salt
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup splenda
12 cup water
12 cubes beef bouillon
5 cups dried lentil, rinsed

Recipe Directions for Lentil Chili - 2

  1. In a large pot, sautee chopped onions in oil until golden; add minced or pressed garlic and sautee for 3 minutes.

  2. Add everything but the lentils, bring to a boil. NOTE: You can use sugar instead of splenda.

  3. Add lentils and simmer uncovered for anywhere from 40-60 min, depending on when lentils are cooked (I cook mine til they start to fall apart)
