Recipe Ingredients for Lentil-Barley Stew

2 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) Celery
1 small Onions
0.75 cup Lentils, Mature Seeds
4 cup, chopped Tomatoes, Red, Ripe
0.75 cup Barley, Pearled
2 tsp Salt, Table
0.5 tsp Pepper, Black
0.5 tsp Rosemary, Dried
1 clove Garlic
1 small (5-1/2" long) Carrots

Recipe Directions for Lentil-Barley Stew

  1. In large pot combine 6 C water and lentils. Cook 20 minutes.

  2. Add: tomatoes, barley, celery, onion, carrot and seasonings. Simmer 30-45 minutes.

  3. Adjust seasonings/time simmered as needed.
