Recipe Ingredients for lentil apricot soup

1 1/2 cups lentil
1 onion
4 carrots
200 grams dried apricots
6 cups of water
2 teaspoons garam masala

Recipe Directions for lentil apricot soup

  1. put chopped onion and carrots in large pan and sweat for 5 min.

  2. Add garam masala (mix of indian spices) stir and cover for 5 min.

  3. add lentils and enough water to cover everything, cook the lentils until almost soft (time depends on type of lentils used). When the lentils are almost done add the dried apricots. Let everything cook for another 10 min. or so and take of stove.

  4. Let it cool a little and then puree the soup.
