Recipe Ingredients for Lemon Squares

4 oz Golden Harvest Margarine sodium reduced
1 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
2 oz Powdered Sugar
2 large Egg, Whole
1 cup Sugars, Granulated
2.5 tbsp Lemon Juice, Canned Or Bottled
0.5 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 dash Salt, Table

Recipe Directions for Lemon Squares

Sift flour and the half cup of sugar into bowl. Blend in butter with fingertips until well mixed. Pat evenly into the bottom of an 8x8 inch baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes at 350F (180C). Meanwhile, beat together the two eggs, 1 cup of granulated sugar, baking powder, lemon juice and salt. Pour over baked crust, return to oven and cook for a further 20-25 minutes at the same temperature. Cool on rack, cut into 25 squares.
