South Indian, tangy lemon rice with tadka

Recipe Ingredients for Lemon Rice

225 g rice
15 g lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
5 g split chickpeas
5 g lentils
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp mustard seeds

Recipe Directions for Lemon Rice

  1. In a wok(kadai) heat oil and add mustard seeds, as it splutters add the split chickpeas, lentils and peanuts and roast all

  2. Add turmeric powder and chilli powder and remove from heat.

  3. To this add cooked rice and mix well.

  4. let it cool for a few minutes and then add lemon juice and salt and mix well

  5. Garnish with coriander leaves
