Recipe Ingredients for Lemon Carrots and Broccoli

2 lbs carrots, sliced
1 lbs broccoli, flowerettes
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp lemon zest
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp white pepper

Recipe Directions for Lemon Carrots and Broccoli

  1. Steam the carrots until almost tender. Set aside.

  2. Steam the broccoli until almost tender. Set aside.

  3. In a large frying pan, melt the butter. Add the lemon juice, zest and seasonings and simmer for a minute.

  4. Add the vegetables and stir to coat with the sauce. Simmer in the sauce until they are tender.
