Recipe Ingredients for Lemon Buttermilk Sorbet

1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoons grated lemon peel
2 cups buttermilk
2 tablespoons vodka

Recipe Directions for Lemon Buttermilk Sorbet

  1. Stir sugar, lemon juice and peel in medium bowl.

  2. Add buttermilk; stir until sugar dissolves. Strain lemon peel to improve the texture.

  3. Chill until cold, about 4 hours. Process mixture in ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions. Transfer to container with lid; freeze.

  4. Can be made 3 days ahead. Keep frozen.
