Recipe Ingredients for Leigh's White Plus Bread

6 cup White Flour, Unbleached
1/4 cup Butter
1 medium Egg, Whole
1 cup Milk, Buttermilk, Fluid, Cultured, Lowfat
8.47 oz Vitamin D Milk
1/4 tsp Salt, Table
1 oz Yeast
1/4 cup, packed Sugars, Brown
4 tbsp Milled Flax Seed
1 oz Wheat Germ, Toasted, Plain

Recipe Directions for Leigh's White Plus Bread

Proof yeast in 1/4 cup of lukewarm water and tsp. of sugar for 15 minutes. Add yeast mixture and all wet ingredients in a mixing bowl. Mix together. Add dry ingredients with flour last. As you are mixing add cups of flour at a time until a nice bread dough is formed. Knead until smooth and elastic. Let rise for 1.5 hours. Punch down and divide into 2 loaves. Place in greased and floured loaf pans. Let rise again for 1.5 hours or until doubled in size. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 50-60 minutes or until hollow when tapped on the bottom. Take out and let cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Turn bread out onto cooling rack and let cool completely.
