This is a quite old dish from the Central Asiatic tribes which I discovered during my low cholesterol diet. This is just one way to prepare. Can be served hot or cold, as starter or as a main dish with a rich fresh garden salad or just a fresh "cacik" dish with yogurt -garlic and cucumber. Healthy for HBP diets as well.

Recipe Ingredients for Legume Dish from Olga's Healthy Choice

2 cups butter beans
2 cups wild rice
2 cups chickpeas
1 cup onions
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp curry
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp sea salt
1 tbsp parsley
1 tbsp curry

Recipe Directions for Legume Dish from Olga's Healthy Choice

  1. Prepare in advance soaked and boiled and drained legumes.

  2. In a pan add oil, chopped onion stir for 5 minutes in medium heat. Add spices and stir for another five minutes, then add legumes and bring a good mix for five minutes. Then it is done!
