Healthy burgers for all occasions.

Recipe Ingredients for Legume Burger from Olga's Healthy Choice

200 g red lentils
200 g Bulgur Wheat Light
100 g whole wheat flour
100 g potatoes
100 g sweet potatoes
3 tbs olive oil
250 g onion
10 g garlic
30 g parsley
2 small eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp chili pepper
1 tsp cumin

Recipe Directions for Legume Burger from Olga's Healthy Choice

  1. Soak and cook lentils. Boil bulgur. Boil potatoes.

  2. Mash potatoes, grind onion, crush garlic finely.

  3. In a large bowl, put all ingredients and mix properly with your hands. Just like preparing "meat balls".

  4. Then cover the bowl and let it wait for at least half an hour.

  5. Place cooking paper on baking tray and slighly oiled with olive oil. Place the burgers in 5-6 cm (4") diameter.

  6. Bake them in oven at 250oC about 45-50 minutes.

  7. They can be eaten with some drop of fresh lemon juice just as snacks.

  8. They can be served with fresh garden salads as starter.

  9. They can be served as main dish with white wine -mushroom sauce (or any other sauce).
