Recipe Ingredients for Leek nad potato soup

100 ml water
200 g onion
500 g leeks
700 g potato
900 ml chicken stock
1 tsp butter
1 pepper
1 salt

Recipe Directions for Leek nad potato soup

  1. heat butter in a large saucepan,

  2. add the leeks and onions and cook gently stirring occasionaly for about 7 minutes until softened (but not browned)

  3. add the potatoes to the pan and cook stirring occasionally for 2-3 minutes, then add the stock and bring to the boil

  4. cover pan and simmer for 30-35 minutes

  5. adjust the seasoning

  6. serve hot with crusty bread
