Recipe Ingredients for Leek Lasagne

500 grams Beef
500 grams Milk
65 grams Plain All Purpose Flour
2 medium raw Leeks
4 tbsp Parmesan, Shredded Cheese
100 grams Mushrooms
2 onion Spanish Onion
4 clove Garlic
2 serving Tinned tomatoes
1 serving Euro Shopper Tomato Puree

Recipe Directions for Leek Lasagne

  1. Add mince, diced onions, garlic, mushrooms, tomatoes, tomato puree and any herbs of your choice into a large pan. Add a little water instead of using oil. Once the mince is brown add plenty of water and boil the sauce down, this can take 30 minutes or 3 hours. The longer you leave it the better the taste.

  2. Slice the leek down the middle to get sheets of leek. Blanche them in hot water to soften up.

  3. Make a basic white sauce by heating 3/4 milk in a pan. With the other 1/4 - mix that with the flour in a cup (adding flour to cold milk prevents lumps. Add the flour milk mix to the hot milk and whisk through. Simmer it long enough to remove the floury taste/texture. Add herbs of your choice.

  4. Layer the bolognese, white sauce and leek sheets like you would with a normal lasagne.

  5. Top with the grated parmesan and bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
