Recipe Ingredients for Leek and Cheese Soup

1000 grams Leeks, (Bulb And Lower Leaf-portion)
2 tbsp Canola Oil
9 oz Ground Beef
9 ounces Ground Pork
0.5 tsp Salt, Table
0.5 tsp Pepper, Black
4.5 cup Beef Broth
8 oz Sliced Mushrooms
7 oz Cream Cheese Spread Chive

Recipe Directions for Leek and Cheese Soup

  1. Slice leeks and rinse well, let drain.

  2. Heat oil in large pan, add the meat and cook until brown, seasoning with salt and pepper.

  3. Add the leeks and brown them lightly for a few minutes. Add the beef broth, bring to a boil, cover and cook for about 15 minutes over medium heat.

  4. Drain the mushrooms and add to the soup. Now stir in the cheese and allow to melt in the hot soup. Season the soup with salt and pepper.
