Tomatoe based sauce with meatballs over rice

Recipe Ingredients for Lebanese Meatballs

1 1/2 lbs ground beef 80%
2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp parsley
2 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp pepper
1/4 cup onion, minced
32 oz stewed tomatoe
2 tbsp tomatoe paste
4 large onions, sliced

Recipe Directions for Lebanese Meatballs

  1. Mix together ground beef, flour, parsley, 1 tsp salt, cumin, pepper and minced oninon. Form small meatballs and bake until cooked.

  2. In large pan fry 4 large onions in olive oil, add tomatoes then add cooked meatballs.

  3. Let simmer for 20-30 minutes. Add tomatoe paste to thicken. Top with parsley and about 1 tsp salt to taste.

  4. Pour over rice.
