hearty chili with almost no fat and lots of health; I use lower salt products than these show.

Recipe Ingredients for lean turkey chili w/beans

1 7/20 lbs ground turkey
28 oz tomato puree
28 oz tomato sauce
30 oz kidney beans, low sodium
15 oz black beans, low sodium
1 onion
3 cloves garlic

Recipe Directions for lean turkey chili w/beans

  1. brown turkey with chopped onion and garlic

  2. add tomato products and spices including chili powder, tumeric, cumin, and pepper to taste

  3. simmer for 1 hour

  4. add kidney beans and simmer for 30 minutes or more

  5. adjust spices and add black beans

  6. simmer for as long as you want...more is better

  7. can be made in a crock pot too
