12 ounces cooked 90% lean ground beef, net from 16 ounces fresh
1/2 cup chopped onion
10 ounces diced tomatoes with green chilies
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder or 1/2 teaspoon ground chipotle chile
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

  1. Cook meat and onion in large pan on stovetop, breaking up meat with spoon

  2. Add diced tomatoes and spices

  3. Simmer on low for 10 minutes

  4. Serve over bed of lettuce for lean option, or over tortilla chips for "authentic" recipe
