Shepherd's pie with a lean beef twist

Recipe Ingredients for Lean cottage pie

1 lb lean ground beef
1 med onion
3 cloves garlic
1/3 cup tomato paste
2 carrots
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 cup frozen peas
113 g Idahoan Mashed Potatoes Roasted Garlic

Recipe Directions for Lean cottage pie

  1. Brown beef in saucepan. When cooked, drain if necessary and add chopped onion, garlic, and carrots. Cook over med. heat until onions are soft.

  2. Add tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and about 1/2 cup water and stir, cooking, until mix is bubbling. Add frozen peas and cook over med. hear another five minutes.

  3. Transfer to ovenproof bowl and top with cooked mashed potatoes. Bake at 375 F. for 35 minutes.
