A spicy chili made with black beans and salsa

Recipe Ingredients for Leah's Mexican Chili

2 1/2 lb lean ground beef
1/2 onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, diced
1 pepper, diced
1/4 cup diced jalapenos
4 cups cooked black beans
56 oz canned diced tomatoes
2 cups salsa
2 tbsp chili powder
2 tbsp cumin
1/4 tsp red pepper
4 oz canned green chiles

Recipe Directions for Leah's Mexican Chili

  1. Brown ground beef with diced onion, garlic and peppers.

  2. Drain fat, add remaining ingredients.

  3. Bring to boil, simmer for 1-2 hours.

  4. Makes 16 cups

  5. Serve over rice, over salad for a taco salad, or in a bowl with tortilla chips.
