Elaine's version straight out of Poland

Recipe Ingredients for Lazy Golombki

1 tbsp olive oil
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
1 can condensed tomato soup
10 3/4 oz (1 can) water
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
4 tbsp white rice
4 c cabbage, chopped

Recipe Directions for Lazy Golombki

  1. Preheat oven to 350F

  2. Brown the beef and onion. Leave a small amount of rendered fat, drain excess.

  3. Add tomato soup, water, salt, pepper, and rice. Bring to a boil.

  4. Reduce heat, simmer for 3 minutes.

  5. Place cabbage in 9x13 pan or casserole dish. Spoon beef mixture over cabbage. Cover.

  6. Bake for 1 hour or until cabbage is tender.
