Lavash is a thin, soft flatbread.

Recipe Ingredients for Lavash

2.5 tsp Yeast
1.5 cup (8 fl oz) Water
2 tsp Sugars, Granulated
4.5 cup All Purpose Flour
1.5 tsp Salt, Table

Recipe Directions for Lavash

  1. Mix yeast water sugar til dissolved.

  2. In large mixing bowl combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture form to dough. Knead with hook for 5-8min.

  3. Place ball in oiled bowl making sure all the dough is coated. Cover and let rise til doubles 1-1 1/2 hours.

  4. Punch down to release air knead for 5 min.

  5. Divide into 8 balls. Cover let rise for 30 min.

  6. Preheat oven 400 degrees.

  7. Roll dough out to thin rectangle: 12"X10" large 8"x6" small flatbread.

  8. Puncture with fork. Bake on baking sheet for 20-25 min. til golden brown.
