Recipe Ingredients for Laurie's Lentil & Spinach Soup

16 oz Frozen Spinach
2 cup, chopped Onions
3 tsp Sea Salt
1 tbsp Pepper, Black
2 tsp Cumin
2 tsp Italian Seasoning
1 tbsp Vinegar red wine
1 tsp Sugars, Granulated
2 cup Traditional Pasta Sauce
8 oz Salsa
1 tbsp Light Sour Cream
1 oz Reduced Fat Mild Cheddar Shredded Cheese

Recipe Directions for Laurie's Lentil & Spinach Soup

  1. Bring water (1/2 qt.) to a boil

  2. Cook lentils, with salt, in medium to high heat until tender (approx.15 min.)

  3. Add chopped onion

  4. Add Prego

  5. Add Salsa (Chunky)

  6. Add red wine vinegar

  7. Add remaining condiments

  8. Simmer for 5 minutes

  9. Serve with light sour cream and

  10. Reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
