makes 3 loaves -- slice each loaf into several crackers - estimate calories on the number of crackers created per loaf -- 2001 cal per loaf seems a lot but per cracker the nutritional value may out weigh the calorie count

Recipe Ingredients for Laurel's famous crackers

2 1/2 cups buttermilk
3 cups flour
1 3/4 cups cranberries or raisins
1 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1 1/4 cup pecans
1 cup flax seeds
1 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp rosemary
1 1/2 tsp sea salt

Recipe Directions for Laurel's famous crackers

  1. mis dry ingredients together

  2. dump in honey and buttermild

  3. makes 3 loaves - divide equally into pans

  4. bake at 325 for 40-50 minutes ( May take 60 )

  5. once baked take out of pans and cool

  6. cover in saran and place in fridge overnight

  7. cut loaf into very thin slices and place on a baking sheet

  8. bake at 230 for approx 40 min (or 50 or 55)

  9. for very thin slices I recommend using an electric knife
