Potato Pancakes Traditional Jewish Hanukkah Food

Recipe Ingredients for Latkes

2 cups potato
2 eggs
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 cup oil

Recipe Directions for Latkes

  1. Wash and peel potatoes. Rinse and drain them, then pat dry.

  2. Heat pan to medium heat.

  3. Mix all ingredients except oil.

  4. Add 1 TBSP oil to pan.

  5. Measure 1/4 cup potato mixture and pour into pan. Flatten with spatula. Cook four at a time.

  6. Cook for 2 minutes on each side.

  7. Repeat from step four until mixture is gone.

  8. Enjoy!
