Recipe Ingredients for Lasagne with Turkey Italian Sausage

1 box Barilla no-boil lasagne noodles
1 lb turkey italian sausage
1 cup zucchini, shredded
1 cup tomatos, diced
26 oz Hunt's Garlic & Herb spaghetti sauce
1 cup water
1 egg
11 oz part skim ricotta cheese
2 1/2 cups part-skim milk mozzarella
1 cup parmesan, grated
1/4 tsp basil
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp granulated garlic

Recipe Directions for Lasagne with Turkey Italian Sausage

  1. Preheat oven to 375.

  2. Spray baking pan with cooking spray.

  3. In medium bowl, beat egg, then stir in ricotta, 1 1/4 cups mozzarella, and parmesan.

  4. Remove casings from sausage, cook, crumble and drain.

  5. Prepare sauce - mix spaghetti sauce with zucchini, tomatos, and water.

  6. To assemble...

  7. Spread a thin layer of sauce on bottom of 9x13 pan.

  8. Layer 4 uncooked sheets, 1/3 of ricotta mix, half of meat, handful of mozzarella, cup of sauce

  9. Layer 4 uncooked sheets, 1/3 of ricotta mix, 1 cup sauce

  10. Layer 4 uncooked sheets, remaining ricotta mix, remaining meat, 1 cup sauce

  11. Layer 4 uncooked sheets, remaining sauce, remaining mozzarella and sprinkle with extra parmesan.

  12. Bake, covered 50-60 minutes.

  13. Uncover and bake 5 more minutes until cheese is melted. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
