Recipe Ingredients for Lasagne

1 onion
15 g margarine
200 g minced beef
200 g tomatoes, tinned
1 teaspoon tomato puree
1 pinch of mixed herbs
375 ml milk
25 g margarine, for sauce
25 g flour
100 g grated cheese

Recipe Directions for Lasagne

  1. Note: lasagne sheets not on system, please use 175g lasagne sheets

  2. Preheat oven to 180 degrees

  3. Peel and finely chop onion

  4. Fry in melted margarine for 3 mins

  5. Add meat and fry for 5 mins

  6. Remove from heat and stir in the tomatoes, tomato puree and herbs

  7. Bring to the boil and simmer for 15 mins

  8. Remove from the heat

  9. Place the milk, 25g margarine and flour in a small pan

  10. Bring to the boil whisking all the time

  11. Simmer for 2 mins until sauce thickens

  12. Stir in half of the cheese

  13. Put layers of cheese sauce, lasagne and meat into the dish, finishing with a layer of cheese sauce

  14. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese

  15. Bake in the oven for about 30 mins until golden brown
