Recipe Ingredients for Lasagne

2 eggs, large
1/2 onion white
4 garlic cloves
1 cup parmesan cheese
8 oz. (2 cup) monterey jack cheese, shredded
1 3/4 cup ricotta cheese
5 links italian hot sausage
9 serving Hunts Whole Tomatoe with Basil can 28 oz

Recipe Directions for Lasagne

  1. Diced the fresh garlic and sauteed in 2 tbsp olive oil.

  2. Chopped the onion and placed in frying pan that I browned the sausage in.

  3. After the fresh garlic sauteed I added the can of tomatoes to this pot. Plus 1/2 - 1 cup water.

  4. After sausage and onions are browned add to the garlic pot. Bring to boil then reduce to simmer.

  5. Take the eggs and place in a bowl with the parmesan, ricotta and 1 cup monterey jack. Mix well.

  6. Place some of the meat sauce in bottom of casserole then lay down 4 noodles. Top this with half the cheese mixture, more meat sauce and then 4 more noodles. Top that with the remaining cheese mix, meat sauce and the other 1 cup monterey jack,

  7. Cover with tin foil tightly and place in 375 degree oven for 60-70 minutes. Or until fork tender pasta.

  8. Remove foil and return to oven for 5 minutes.

  9. Let set for 10 minutes before cutting.
