Lasagne with no-boil noodles from the Barilla web site with some changes

Recipe Ingredients for Lasagne with no-boil noodles

2 onions, chopped
12 mushrooms, sliced
3 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
9 ounces lasagne noodles, 16 noodles
1 jar sauce
3 cups mozarella cheese, shredded
1 1/2 cups parmesan cheese
1 egg
2 egg whites
15 ounces part skim ricotta cheese
1 pound ground pork

Recipe Directions for Lasagne with no-boil noodles

  1. PREHEAT oven to 375 degrees.

  2. SPRAY 9x13x2 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

  3. BROWN the meat in a skillet over medium heat, drain.

  4. SAUTE the onions and mushrooms in the butter, add the meat and remove from heat.

  5. BEAT eggs in a medium bowl; stir in ricotta and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese plus 2 cups of mozzarella cheese.

  6. To Assemble: Slightly overlap lasagne sheets in pan. Spread fillings to the edge of each sheet. Layer in the following order:

  7. SPREAD 1 cup sauce to cover bottom of baking pan

  8. LAYER 4 lasagne sheets

  9. SPREAD half the ricotta mixture

  10. SPOON half the browned meat

  11. SPRINKLE 1 cup mozzarella cheese

  12. SPOON 1-1/2 cups lasagne sauce

  13. REPEAT layering lasagne sheets, ricotta cheese mixture, meat, mozzarella and/or parmesan cheese and 1-1/2 cups sauce. Final layer will be 4 lasagne sheets, remaining browned meat, sauce and 1 cup mozzarella cheese

  14. COVER pan with foil

  15. BAKE until bubbly, approximately 50-60 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.

  16. UNCOVER and continue cooking until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting
