Lasagna made with whole wheat pasta, home-made sauce, and real ricotta cheese.

Recipe Ingredients for Lasagna

15 oz ricotta
12 oz tomato paste
28 oz crushed tomatoes
16 oz whole wheat lasagna
1/4 cup egg beaters
1 pound mozzarella
2 teaspoons olive oil

Recipe Directions for Lasagna

  1. Sautee some onions and/or garlic in a little olive oil.

  2. Add tomato paste and curshed tomatoes. Let simmer.

  3. Par broil lasagna noodles.

  4. Mix ricotta with 1 egg (or egg substitute) and most of the mozzarella (save some for on top).

  5. In a 9x13 pan, layer sauce, pasta, and cheese mix repeatedly with an extra layer of mozzarella on top.

  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes.

  7. Let cool for 15 minutes.
