Traditional Lasagna - not very light

Recipe Ingredients for Lasagna

20 oz Lean Turkey Italian Sausage
15 oz Red Gold Diced Tomatoes Roasted Garlic and Onion
8 oz Tomato Sauce
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
3 clove Garlic
7 oz Healthy Harvest Lasagna
15 oz Light Ricotta Cheese
8 oz Natural Cheese
1 large(50 g) Egg, Whole
2 tsp(5 g) Parmesan 100% Grated

Recipe Directions for Lasagna

  1. In a 2-3 quart sized pan, brown meat with chopped onion and garlic. Drain off excess fat and add tomatoes and sauce. Season to liking (oregano, rosemary, basil). Simmer on low 15-20 minutes.

  2. Boil noodles for 5 minutes, until just flexible

  3. Mix Ricotta, 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, parmasan cheese, and egg with some parsley if desired.

  4. In a 9x13 pan, spread a couple spoons of sauce on bottom, layer 3 noodles on top, then half the ricotta cheese mix, then half the sauce. Repeat layers once more. Top off with rest of the mozzarella cheese.

  5. Bake in 350 oven for 30 minutes.
