1 pound pork sausage 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 clove garlic, minced 14.5 oz petite cut tomatoes 8 oz. tomato sauce 6 oz. tomato paste 1 pound mozzarella, thinly sliced 2 tsp dried basil 1 tsp salt 8 oz. lasagna noodles 1 tbsp olive oil 2 eggs 2.5 cups ricotta cheese 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese 2 tbsp parsley flakes

Recipe Ingredients for Lasagna

16 oz Tennessee Pride Pork Sausage
0.5 cup, chopped Onions
1/2 tbsp Minced Garlic
14.5 oz Red Gold Petite Diced Tomatoes
8 oz No Salt Added Tomatoes Sauce
6 oz Tomato Paste
16 oz Sliced Low Moisture Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese
2 tsp, ground Basil, Dried
1 serving Salt Substitute
200 grams Barilla lasagna
1 serving Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 medium Egg, Whole
20 oz Miceli's Low-fat Ricotta Cheese
6 oz Parmesan 100% Grated
2 serving Flakes Parsley

Recipe Directions for Lasagna

  1. Cook meat, onion, and garlic until meat is browned. Drain off fat, Stir in undrained tomatoes,tomato sauce, tomato paste, dried basil, and salt. Cover, simmer 15 minutes, stirring often.

  2. Meanwhile cook lasagna noodles until tender in boiling salted water with olive oil. Drain and rinse.

  3. Beat eggs, add ricotta, 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, parsley, 1 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp pepper.

  4. Layer 1/2 of noodles in a 13x9 pan; spread with 1/2of ricotta filling, 1/2 of mozzarella, and 1/2 of meat sauce.

  5. Repeat layer; sprinkle remaining parmesan on top.

  6. Bake @ 375 for 45 minutes or until hot (if prepared ahead and refrigerated) and let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

  7. If not refrigerated, bake for 30-35 minutes.
