Lasagna for Microcomputer Programmers

Recipe Ingredients for Lasagna for Microcomputer Programmers

2 lbs of your favorite tomato sauce
1 lb of lean ground beef
1 lb of mozzarella cheese
15 oz ricotta cheese
8 oz pasta
1 egg
8 oz Parmesan cheese
1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp parsley, 1/4 tsp basil, 1/2 tsp garlic powder to taste (start with 1/8 tsp)
1 Mushrooms, onion, green pepper
8 tbls butter

Recipe Directions for Lasagna for Microcomputer Programmers

  1. Instructions

  2. Cheese Grate the Mozzerlla Cheese. If you‚??re lazy or don‚??t have a food processor, you can slice it with a cheese cutter. To prepare ricotta, dump it into a bowl and mix until smooth. You may want to add a beaten egg to make it more moist.

  3. Sauce Crumble and brown beef in sauce pan. Drain liquid. Add tomato sauce to beef. You may want to mix in the oregano, etc. if tomato sauce is unseasoned. Add any or all of these sauteed vegatables: mushrooms, onions, green peppers. These can be sauteed in another pan in a little butter or oil while beef is cooking.

  4. Noodles Cook noodles as directed on box, add tbsp oil or butter to water to prevent sticking. I usually cook them until they bend in half over a fork without breaking. Don‚??t cook them completely through‚??they‚??ll cook more in the oven. Drain and rinse in hot water. Let them cool.

  5. Building Grease bottom of pan with a little tomato sauce. One at a time, spread not more than about ¬ľ inch layer of ricotta over noodles. Place in pan ‚??til first layer is complete. You‚??ll probably have to cut some noodles to make them fit, you can use the pieces in the next layer. Spread tomato sauce over ricotta-covered noodles ‚??til completely covered, sprinkle on a little Parmesean, then cover with your sliced or grated mozerrella or parmesean cheese. Don‚??t panic if you begin t run out of certain ingredients (except noodles) before the lasagna is done. Just skip or decrease the amount of that ingredient in the layering process and make sure you end with sauce on top. No one will know the difference.

  6. Bake at 3:50 degrees for 45 min to 1 hour until bubbly and brown.
