Lasagna that can be made with chicken or beef

Recipe Ingredients for Lasagna (good everytime)

1 lb ground beef
1 egg
7 cups Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce
1 1/2 lb ricotta cheese
11 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
1/3 cup of parmesan cheese
375 grams of lasagna noodles

Recipe Directions for Lasagna (good everytime)

  1. saute meat in skillet. set aside. boil lasagna noodles as directed. For 9 by 13 pan, usually 16 noodles. When cooked drain, and pat dry.

  2. Mix ricotta, egg, and 1/2 cup of sauce together. If you like, you can add some spices i.e. parsley, italian spices.

  3. When ready to layer. Add a littls sauce at the bottom of the pan so it doesn't stick. Then layer 4 noodles lengthwise in the pan, add ricotta mixture, then meat, then mozzarella, sauce and sprinkle a little parmesan cheese per your taste. Repeat 2 or 3 times depending on how much mixture and or noodles you have left.

  4. Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees for 30 minutes covered with foil. At the end of that time, take off foil and let cook another 15 minutes. When it's completely cooked, let cool for at least one hour.

  5. Hint - for cleaner oven, put baking sheet under pan just in case there is spillage.
