Wheat sticks recipe passed down from my great-grandmother to my granddad to my mom to me. Recipe is mostly a by guess - so amounts may actually vary.

Recipe Ingredients for Lacy Wheat Sticks

2 cups wheat flour
1 cup white flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup honey
1/2 cup oil

Recipe Directions for Lacy Wheat Sticks

  1. preheat oven to 350 degree

  2. mix flour and salt

  3. add oil - cut it in...like you would to make pie crust

  4. add honey mix until all is moistened

  5. roll out on cookie sheet (i usually put tin foil down which makes it easier to clean later if things stick).

  6. use back of butter knife (dull side) to cut wheat sticks into strips - you can go length wise and side-ways to about 1 " x 6" strips

  7. cook about 20 - 25 min - it will not be hard - it hardens as it sits & cools.
