Makes 2 1/3 cups. One serving is 1/3 cup.

Recipe Ingredients for Kutya

2 cups Water
1 cup Bulgur
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup honey
1/4 cup poppy seed
1 apple
2 tbsp maraschino cherries
1/3 cup chopped pecans

Recipe Directions for Kutya

  1. Bring 2 cups Water to boil and add: Bulgur & salt. Reduce heat to simmer and cook for 15 min. Cool.

  2. Mix together warm water and honey. Add to wheat mixture.

  3. Then add:poppy seeds (ground), apple (shredded), maraschino cherries (chopped), pecans (chopped).

  4. serve next day, chilled
