Kung Pao chicken served over rice

Recipe Ingredients for Kung Pao

2 pounds chicken breast
2 tablespoon olive oil
3/4 cup soy sauce
3/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoon cornstarch
1 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon red pepper powder
2 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

Recipe Directions for Kung Pao

  1. Heat olive oil in pan on medium high heat/ Add chicken and stir fry until cooked. Transfer to a plate. I dump out any liquids.

  2. In a bowl combine soy sauce, red wine vinegar, sugar, & cornstarch.

  3. Add ground ginger, garlic powder & red pepper to the pan.

  4. Immediately add the soy sauce, red wine vinegar, sugar & cornstarch.

  5. Add cooked chicken to pan. Stir constantly on medium heat until sauce thickens & sticks to the chicken.

  6. Serve over rice. I use a little less than 6 oz. per serving.
