chinese style prawn & chilli stir fry

Recipe Ingredients for KUNG PAO PRAWN

1 tbsp soy sauce
50 ml orange juice
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
1 1/2 tsp corn flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp chilli powder
6 spring onions
2 garlic cloves
1 1/2 tsp ginger
1 red pepper
500 g prawns
20 g unsalted peanuts

Recipe Directions for KUNG PAO PRAWN

  1. combine soy, orange juice, vinegar, corn flour and sugar in a bowl and set aside.

  2. heat a wok and add oil, when slightly smoking toss in the chilli, spring onion, garlic and ginger.

  3. stir fry for 30sec until garlic and onions are fragrant but not brown, add pepper and cook for another minute stirring constantly.

  4. next add the prawns and peanuts, cook for 3 mins

  5. stir in the sauce and cook until thickens and forms a light sheen around the prawns - it should take about 30 secs.

  6. serve with rice or noodles
