Yummy granola with lots of good stuff.

Recipe Ingredients for Kristen's Homemade Granola

4 cups rolled oats
2 cups flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup shredded coconut
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup honey
1 c almonds
1/2 c pecans
1/2 c chocolate chips (or m&m's)

Recipe Directions for Kristen's Homemade Granola

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients. Add oil and honey; mix well. Stir in nuts, raisins, etc.

  3. Firmly press into a cookie sheet with sides or jelly roll pan.

  4. Bake 15-20 minutes. They will look puffy and soft. Do not wait until they are browned.

  5. Cut into bars while warm, then let cool and remove from pan carefully. Store in an airtight container, or wrap individually with waxed paper and masking tape.

  6. *To prepare granola cereal, leave out the raisins, chocolate chips, etc. before baking; bake about 10-15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Add the additional ingredients after cooling; store in airtight containers.
