A slow cooker chili I occasionally make.

Recipe Ingredients for Krista's Slow Cooker Chili

1 pound ground turkey
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves minced garlic
14 ounce tomato sauce
14 ounce diced tomatoes
30 ounce of Red kidney beans
1/4 cup chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
4 ounce diced green chilis
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons paprika
2 jalapeno peppers
1/2 cup water

Recipe Directions for Krista's Slow Cooker Chili

  1. Brown the ground turkey or beef and drain.

  2. Rinse and drain the 2 cans of kidney beans.

  3. Chop up the Jalapenos. If you don't like your chili super spicy you may omit or just use one of these.

  4. Stir all the ingredients in a 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 quart slow cooker.

  5. Cover and cook on LOW for about 8 or 9 hours.

  6. Or you can cook it on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours.
