This is a popular salad often found in restaurants serving galbi, bulgogi, or other types of meat dishes. It's delicious on it's own with barley rice and other side dishes.

Recipe Ingredients for Korean Style Mixed Green Salad

600 g Red or Green Leaf
1 cucumber, peeled and cut into small strips
1 scallion, chopped
3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp hot pepper flakes
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp sesame oil

Recipe Directions for Korean Style Mixed Green Salad

  1. 1. Wash a big bowl of mixed greens (5-6 cups) and drain it. If you use lettuce, tear it up into bite sized pieces.

  2. 2. Slice cucumber thinly (cut cucumber in half in length first, and slice it diagonally) and add it into the bowl.

  3. 3. Chop up the onion and add it to the bowl.

  4. 4. Make the sauce by mixing up 3 tbs of soy sauce, 1 tbs of hot pepper flakes, 1 tsp of sugar, and tbs of sesame seeds and 1tbs of sesame oil

  5. 5. Mix the vegetables with the sauce

  6. 6. Transfer the salad to a glass bowl or a big plate and serve it
