Great fiber and protein, low fat.

Recipe Ingredients for Kisir

1 1/2 cups bulgur
1/2 cup onions, chopped
1 cup cucumber, chopped
1 tablespoon dill
2 tablespoons parsley
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 bell pepper, seeded and chopped
3 tablespoons red pepper paste or tomato paste
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped

Recipe Directions for Kisir

  1. Cover bulger with boiling water and let stand for 15 minutes. Chop remaining vegetables and herbs. Juice lemon.

  2. Drain and towel dry the bulgur. Add all ingredients and refrigerate. Serve on romaine leaves with chicken or beef
