Kipper Pate - Adapted from a Galton Blakiston recipe

Recipe Ingredients for Kipper Pate

150 g kippers,
90 g cream cheese
1 dash pinch paprika
1 dash sumac
1 dash black pepper

Recipe Directions for Kipper Pate

  1. Cook the kippers and leave to cool slightly.

  2. Drain off any liquid and remove the skin and bones. Weigh the remaining fish

  3. Fish to cheese ratio is roughly 3:2

  4. Put all into a small blender, add paprika, sumac or lemon, parsley or what you like.

  5. Add a tablespoon of cream or creme fraiche if you wish.

  6. Blitz until smooth.

  7. For low carb serve on Chicory leaves, Celery or Cucumber.
