Recipe Ingredients for King Prawn Linguine with Lemon and Basil GI Jane

4 oz (linguine) spaghetti
12 oz (king) prawns, cooked
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 teaspoon butter
1 clove garlic, crushed
4 oz green beans, trimmed and cut into 2" lengths
4 oz (button) mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons basil
1 tablespoon parmigiano, grated

Recipe Directions for King Prawn Linguine with Lemon and Basil GI Jane

  1. Cook the pasta for the time indicated on the packet, drain and reserve.

  2. While the pasta is cooking, melt the olive oil and butter in a saute pan

  3. Gently cook the garlic for a minute. Then add the mushrooms and green beans and saute for another minute

  4. Add the lemon juice and plenty of black pepper. Cover and allow to steam for 6 minutes

  5. Increase the heat slightly, add the king prawns and saute for another minute to warm through

  6. Finally stir in the cooked pasta & fresh basil and serve immediately dressed with some grated parmesan
