Recipe Ingredients for Kick-Ass Molasses Cookies

1 cup packed brown sugar
180 g (3/4 cup) unsweetened apple sauce
54 g fancy molasses (Equal to 1/4 cup of light fancy molasses)
4 egg whites
2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Kick-Ass Molasses Cookies

  1. Heat oven to 325 degrees.

  2. Mix brown sugar, apple sauce, molasses, and egg whites in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium. You can also mix with a spoon but its better when its really whipped up. Stir in the rest of the ingredients.

  3. Make tablespoon sized balls of dough. Option: roll in the sugar. Then place 1-2 inches apart on parchpaper lined sheet.

  4. Bake for 13 to 16 minutes or until set (appears dry). Let cool for 1 to 2 minutes and place on wire rack or a plate is fine as well.
