The nutritional guide has been affected a bit as 2 ingredients the rice and fish are not nutritionally graded in the food lists so its made it a C+ but I reckon its better for you than that. This is quick tasty deliscious food with a kick.

Recipe Ingredients for Khichri

7 oz smoked haddock
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1/2 tablespoon curry powder
6 ounces Rice
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
6 ounces frozen peas
2 medium egg

Recipe Directions for Khichri

  1. Cook sweetcorn and peas, rice and steam or microwave fish how you like. Once fish is cooked flake into pieces.

  2. Before the above is cooked completely, in a small frying pan heat the oil and fry off the onions til soft and golden, add the garlic and curry powder and fry gently for 2-3 minutes.

  3. Combine all ingredients, fish, rice peas and sweet corn in a bowl and mix well until all rice has turned yellow from the fryed onions garlic and curry powder and serve immediately.
